Kurt Mayr

While Kurt Mayr successfully cut his legal teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of “Big Law” on Wall Street, he has another side too. Kurt enjoys spending his spare time at his family’s Vermont farmhouse, built in 1763, where he pursues his other passion, woodworking. His keen eye for accuracy and tenacity have served him well in both pursuits. Recently named by Turnaround & Workouts as one of only 12 outstanding young restructuring partners in the U.S., Kurt’s work at Bracewell involves the representation of a wide range of major parties in domestic and international insolvency/restructuring matters, including creditors, debtors, acquirers and other interested parties in transactions both out-of-court and under court supervision. He has focused on second lien assignment, Indian Gaming, cross-border restructurings, monoline restructurings and municipal workouts. To learn more about Kurt, check out his firm bio.
